Aperçu

Lebanese passports are issued by the General Directorate of General Security (Surete Generale), which runs the biometric passport system. The official size is 35x45mm, used here at 413x531 pixels, on a plain white or very light grey background. The photo must be recent and in colour, with both ears visible, the eyes open, and a neutral expression. Head coverings are only accepted for religious reasons with supporting documentation, and applicants are usually asked to bring two identical prints.

A plain white or light grey background with no patterns or shadows.

Exigences

  • Use the official 35x45mm size at 413x531 pixels from a recent sitting.
  • Keep the background plain white or light grey with no shadows.
  • Face the camera with a neutral expression and open eyes.
  • Keep both ears visible and the head centred in the frame.
  • Head should fill roughly 70 to 80 percent of the photo height.
  • Head coverings are allowed only for religious reasons with documentation.
  • Glasses may be worn if non-reflective; tinted lenses are not allowed.
  • Provide a colour image at high resolution and bring two identical prints.

Raisons courantes de rejet

  • Backgrounds that are coloured, patterned, or shadowed.
  • Reflective or tinted glasses that hide the eyes.
  • Smiling or any non-neutral expression.
  • Hair or covering that hides the ears or part of the face.
  • Head tilted or turned away from the camera.
  • Blurred, dark, or digitally edited photographs.

Conseils

  • Shoot in even daylight to keep the light background clean.
  • Pull hair behind the ears so both ears stay visible.
  • Remove reflective glasses to avoid glare on the lenses.
  • Stand away from the wall to stop shadows forming.
  • Print two matching copies to bring with your application.
