Angola's passports are issued by the Servico de Migracao e Estrangeiros (SME) under the Ministry of the Interior. The required photo is 35x45mm on a plain white background, showing the full face from the front. Angolan applications often ask for the head to sit fairly large in the frame, so the face fills most of the height. The image must be recent and printed or supplied in sharp, natural colour.

  • Head tilted or turned away from straight-on.
  • Glare or reflection on glasses, or eyes hidden by frames.
  • Smiling or any expression that is not neutral.
  • Photo too old to match current appearance.
  • Sunglasses or anything covering part of the face.

نصائح

  • Position the camera at eye level so the face is not shot from above or below.
  • If you wear glasses, angle the light or remove them to kill reflections.
  • Fill the frame with the head as required, but leave a small margin above the hair.
  • Use diffuse lighting to avoid hot spots on the forehead and cheeks.
  • Confirm the head-height ratio before printing, since Angola wants a larger head.
