Bangladesh requires a 35x45 mm (413x531 pixels at 300 DPI) passport photo with a white background, administered by the Department of Immigration and Passports (DIP) under the Ministry of Home Affairs. The DIP introduced the Machine Readable Passport (MRP) and subsequently the e-Passport in 2020, both requiring ICAO-compliant biometric photos. Photos must show the full face from chin to crown with a neutral expression, and the applicant must not wear glasses. For e-Passport applications, photos are often captured on-site at regional passport offices, but applicants submitting through consulates abroad need to supply their own compliant photos.
