Luxembourg passports are issued through the government portal guichet.lu and the Passport, Visa and Legalisation Office. The photo must be 35x45mm and meet the ICAO biometric standard used across the EU. A plain white or very light background is required, with the head filling about 70 to 80 percent of the height. Glasses are usually removed to avoid glare on the biometric image.
