Sri Lanka passports are handled by the Department of Immigration and Emigration. The photo is 35x45mm and the department asks for a plain white background that follows ICAO standards, with both ears visible. Standard applications now run through registered photo studios that capture and submit images digitally, so printed photos handed over at the counter are often not accepted. The head must be centred with chin-to-crown height near 34.5mm.
