Vietnam requires a 3x4 cm (354x472 pixels at 300 DPI) passport photo with a plain white background, administered by the Immigration Department (Cục Quản lý xuất nhập cảnh) under the Ministry of Public Security. Vietnam uses a smaller photo format than the standard ICAO 35x45 mm, at 30x40 mm. Photos must show the full face in frontal view with neutral expression and both eyes visible. The photo must have the applicant's full name printed below it when submitted in physical form. For online applications through the Immigration Department portal, digital photos must be uploaded in JPEG format.
